I recently upgraded my handheld from the Zoom H6 to a Sony PCM-D100. So this afternoon, I decided to take the PCM-D100 for a spin in our local woods, just 5 minutes from our house. What you hear is roughly three minutes of a typical Swiss afternoon in the woods, with the occasional disruption by a passing train.
To be honest, I didn’t manage to catch the ambience and the passing train in one smooth recording, so I edited the two recordings together. Apart from that, I didn’t apply any processing whatsoever (just a FabFilter Pro-L 2 Limiter on the master fader).
Recording device: Sony PCM-D100
